Ramadhan Prayers

Ramadhan is a holy month of worship, the study of The Quran, prayers, and fasting. MCNJ organizes a number of programs and events for the community to benefit in terms of knowledge.

MCNJ organizes Taraweeh by training Huffaz to pray 20 rakats each night to complete one recitation of The Quran during the month of Ramadhan. Conclusion or Khatam Quran is on one of the odd nights towards the end of the month of Ramadhan. Taraweeh prayers each night are followed by Qiyam-ul-Layl and other lectures/events of interest to the community.

MCNJ organizes Iftaar and dinner for all misalleges, brothers and sisters, young and old, to conclude their fast and pray all the evening prayers without having to leave the masjid.

MCNJ also organizes suhoor during the last ten nights of Ramadhan and also Itikaf arrangements are made for interested community members.

Eid prayer and celebrations are organized by MCNJ at a local park or Community Hall to celebrate the conclusion of Ramadhan, attended by a large gathering of brothers and sisters in traditional clothes and greeting one another.
